Bring it on 2012

I am loving 2012 thus far. Loving it but finding it utterly exhausting, but there's nothing new there. Not only are Youngling and I closer than ever which is the best feeling I could ask for, we are making headway in several of our challenges. These being Speech Therapy, sleeping routines, health and happiness, financial stability and independence. All this and we are only four weeks into the new year.

I have managed to organise three breaks away this year - all UK bound - with family and friends and all totalling less than £350.00!!! For all three!!! BARGAIN. Depending on the Doo situation I may even be whisked away somewhere hot for a long awaited five day break abroad. It has been six years since I left the UK and I miss the experience of the airport, plane journey, and foreign culture. Fingers crossed and I could be posting some post cards wishing you were here.

It just gets better. My brother gave me some excellent news today. He told me that he will be getting a new car in April or May (this year) and will therefore be able to return my car (I so lovingly gave him) full with MOT, and TAX. Leaving me to find the insurance. I am over the moon. Almost three years I have been without a car and boy have I missed it. I practically jumped for joy - much to the shock of the other customers in the coffee shop.

I feel I've done my bit for the environment (for now) by not having a car for a few years. I hadn't even had it long before I gave it away. But come April/May I get my Frankie Fiesta back - can I hear a whoop whoop?

What made you 'WHOOP' for joy today?

Take care
Kate

I was lucky enough to win a holiday for this year. I can't wait to take Freddy and the girls away for a week. It's always so nice to leave routine behind and just relax. You've done so well to cope without a car for so long! How fabulous that you will be getting yours back :) xxx

Yay Wendy that's a big WHOOP :-) It is definitely nice to get away from it all for a little while. I love sharing new experiences with Youngling. Yay for getting the car back. My brother will be doing it up a little bit so it will be like getting a new car WHOOP WHOOP. Will have to post pictures for you all to see :-) xx

12 Things To Do In 2012

1. Writing Novel (then aim to send off to 12 agents/publishers).

2.Write 12 book reviews and blog them.

3.Write at least 212 blog posts (not including the book reviews).

4.Get Youngling into a good bedtime routine (which will help with speech etc).

5.Be a better Christian (read the Erasmus course book - and ask to give a reading at Church. Create a poetry book to sell - proceeds go to Church).

6. Be more charitable (help Dad at the Mind Charity Workshops).

7. Go to the Theatre and/or a concert at least once.

8.Take Youngling somewhere new on holiday (at least once UK or otherwise).

9. Spend less and save more (save up for a car or something for Youngling).

10. Spend more time with friends and family (maybe even help some achieve their dreams).

11. Do something brave/new/memorable I've never done before.

12. Be happy :-)
