So I spent my weekend...

... in bed. Literally the whole weekend, and I wasn't alone. Youngling was away with Daddy Doo so I spent the weekend with Boog. We hardly left the bedroom. I know it's a little early for all the lovey-dovey stuff that comes with Valentines Day but Boog and I make sure we celebrate every chance we get. Whether that be with a meal or a movie or both. Or just spending time together.

Now before you turn away just you get your minds out of the gutters ;-) or if you like that kind of thing ignore the rest and let your imaginations run away with you.

Boog's heart from him to me - a priceless gift

The lurgy, also known as the common cold that Youngling kindly passed onto me, hit me pretty hard. So after buying a little nurses outfit (admittedly that was meant for me) Boog played the doting doctor ever so well and after treating ourselves to a new TV each what better reason to stay in bed than to make sure it was working ok.

Since Doo left I haven't had television channels in my bedroom, just old videos (yes VHS still exists - shocking isn't it) and DVD's. As you know I have been scrimping and saving for the past ten months and felt it time I replaced the missing TV and reward myself for my hard work.

I love it.

It has a built in DVD player with all the freeview channels and better yet I get a great signal - wahoo. Youngling is even more excited because he now has the old VHS TV Combo in his bedroom. Now before you all say "ooh I wouldn't let my Youngling have a TV in their room" I would have said the same thing too. In fact I didn't have a TV in my room until I was at university. It's a wonder I ever graduated, yet I did, Huzzah! But Youngling actually understands that this is for daytime use only. Preferably when he has his friends over and I can get some writing or cleaning done (whilst monitoring them at all times of course). Oh the joys of multitasking.

So that was how I spent my weekend, how did you spend yours?

Take Care
Kate
