Dear Simon Pegg...

Dear Simon Pegg,

I know you are awfully busy at the moment what with filming your new film The Worlds End in our lovely little town of Letchworth but I thought I'd send you a little note. You must be terribly bored of receving fan mail by now but since you seem so gracious and kind on that there TV I thought you'd like to know how excited we are as a town to see you wondering about.

It is all very exciting seeing our pubs being repainted and renamed for the film and seeing you and Nick Frost acting under the bright lights. Although I must admit our paths haven't crossed as of yet, but I am sure that they will soon enough. I have it good authority you will be filming in the pub on the corner in a few days so I may just happen to bump into you. Though I apologise in advance if I squeal like a school girl.

While it all appears to be glitzy and glamorous I have to say it's not the most organised of events. This i probably not your fault but if you could have a quiet word to the powers that be that'd be fab. You see the crew almost made me late for my sons Halloween Party last time you were here by holding up traffic with their makeshift crossings. And while I love all things makeshift - hence the name - I wasn't overly impressed for it was the first time of meeting some of the mums from my sons new school. I didn't even catch a glimpse of you, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, and co.

Secretly I would have liked to have been a part of the 'magic' even if it was being a runner. How does it feel being a part of the 'buzz' of the business?  Any chance you could put a good word in? I've never been an extra before.

Well I wont take up too much of your time just wanted to say hi.

So take care and hopefully see you over the next few weeks in town.

Love and best wishes
Kate
xx
