It must be a Christmas miracle or something for today was to be the day that I was to say goodbye to my dearest old cat Tango. By some sort of miracle he appears brighter and more alert than he has in years. He truly is a remarkable cat.
Mum spoke to his vet and they have agreed that they will try another course of antibiotics to treat the infection inside his mouth which will hopefully clear up the dermatitis which was a result of the excessive dribbling. These put together have caused him to smell literally rotten. Poor thing. Fingers crossed he has a healthy Christmas and doesn't begin to suffer. We just want him to have a happy life no matter how long that may be. He seems content enough and is purring away as per usual.
His purring reminded me of Ruth Adams, a lady I met at The National Cat Awards (in association with the Cats Protection) earlier this year. Ruth and her cat Smokey were up for the Outstanding Rescue Cat award. Though next year I think they'll have to go in for the Celebrity Cat award. Smokey is an international star now and has a website, twitter account and even a book out.

Ruth is utterly lovely and the book is an enchanting read. It is beautifully illustrated and would make a delightful gift for any cat lover.
I hope you enjoy reading it and you can also follow Smokey on Twitter now: @PurringSmokey - this cat is multi talented. Why can't mine be more entertaining. All they do is sit and sleep though Larley did roll off the sofa backwards yesterday which had me in stitches. #curelcatowner
Take care
Love
